Happy New Year to all staff, cadets and their families.

Cadets starts tonight .Tuesday 9th January 2018.


The staff and cadets will be bag packing on Saturday 27th January 2018. The proceeds will be split between Morrisons charity CLIC ,the Squadron itself and an RAF charity. We hope all cadets will come and take part for a few hours.


23 cadets and 7 staff took part in the Remembrance Day Parade in Tavistock on Sunday 12th November 2017. The CO has received many compliments on how smart the cadets were at the parade and those collecting on the Saturday.


5 Cadet volunteers and the CO collected £440 for the Poppy Appeal on Saturday 11 November 2017. Thank you to those cadets - Well Done


27 cadets and 12 staff attended the Dining Out of F/Sgt Petzing at Tavistock Golf Club on Friday 10th November 2017 .The CO thanked F/Sgt Petzing for all her work at the Squadron and presented her with flowers and gardening vouchers from the staff and cadets .


4 cadets took part in L98A2 training on 23 October 2017 with 3 cadets live firing on 24 October 2017 at RAF St Mawgan.


The squadron held its Open Evening and Presentation Parade on 12 September 2017 .The evening was well attended by parents and friends. Wg Cdr Reis presented 26 cadets with exam certificates.Six cadets received their BTEC award in Aviation Studies. Thank you to all who provided cakes .The refreshments were enjoyed by all who attended.


Wing Field Days Caiels Trophy

Despite not having a full team .Our cadets managed to win the leadership section .The team came 3rd at Drill and 3rd at Banner Drill .An amazing result.

Flying went ahead during the summer.Weather prevented four flights . 20 cadets flew in the Grob Tutors of No 3AEF. Many cadets were first timers who thoroughly enjoyed the experience.


The new Squadron Chaplain Rev Martin was officially appointed on Tuesday 11th July 2017 By Rev Anderson the Wing Chaplain


9 Cadets and 3 staff visited RNAS Yeovilton for their Air Show

on 8 July 2107. An excellent flying display was enjoyed by all.


Cadets helped at the Steam Fair and Church Fete .Their help was much appreciated.


Squadron athletics team were 9th in the Wing Athletics competion on 14 May 2017 . A good result as only 11 cadets were able to attend.


Cadets and staff enjoyed the visit of Cpl Johnson an ex cadet recently .Cpl Johnson from the safety equipment section at RAF St Mawgan demonstrated all types of equipment and survival techniques.


The squadron were presented with their affiliation certificate to the Royal British Legion on 9th May 2017


Thanks to the cadets who helped at the Dartmoor Radio Club Rally on Sunday 30th April and Monday 1st May 2017. Your help was much appreciated.
