- Well done Sgt Cook who is now a Master Cadet having passed all her ultilearn exams. She will also get a BTEC certificate in Aviation Studies. 

The Squadron will be having competitions that all cadets can enter  .They are simple to take part in details on facebook . The first one is to make a paper plane and fly it .Prizes to be awarded on our return to Squadron

There are lots of activities on the Air Cadet Portal for cadets to see and do whilst we are in lockdown. All cadets are welcome to sign in and make use of the activities offered.

F/Sgt Waddy completed 12 hours flying at Dundee on the Air Cadet Pilot Scheme .Weather prevented her from going solo .CWO Woodleys planned course has been postponed due to Coronavirus.

 24 March 2020-The latest instruction from HQ Air Cadets is that all face to face Air Cadet activities will cease until 31 August 2020 . The squadron website and facebook pages will be updated with any further news.

Cadets who have almost completed their Leading Senior or Master cadet training can log on to ultilearn and take their exams at home . There is more information on the Cadet Portal. 

Our Annual Formal Inspection on Tuesday 18th February 2020 was successful. Thank you to all the cadets who made the effort to attend in half term week.

Nine new cadets were enrolled on 28 January 2020 .Wing Commander Francis Reis was present and promoted F/Sgt Lauren Woodley to Cadet Warrant Officer.

The cadet portal is now active and will allow cadets to check their records and book on to activities. It will alert cadets to Squadron and Wing activities.

8 cadets took part in  Band Training on 30 November and 1 December 2019 at RAF St Mawgan. They all enjoyed it and came back full of enthusiasm. Next training is on 17and 18 January 2020.

 Camps 2020

There will be  a Wing Camp in the Easter Holidays. In the Summer there will be a camp at RIAT ,RAF Shawbury, RAF Wittering and an Aerospace Camp. There will be adventure training camps at Windemere and Fairbourne. Confirmed dates are on the activities page .  

The RAF Recruiting Team visited the Squadron on Tuesday 3rd December 2019. 30 Cadets enjoyed taking part in a logistical exercise demonstrating the capabilities of the aircraft of the RAF .

16 cadets and 6 staff attended the Remembrance Parade  on  Sunday 10 November 2019 in Tavistock . Cdt Iles laid the wreath on behalf of the Squadron. Cdt Gauler carried the wreath for the Mayor. The CO has received many compliments on the cadets turn out and marching.

Twelve cadets the CO and Pilot Officer Forbes collected £492.02 for the Poppy appeal on Saturday 9 November 2019 on a very wet and cold day. Well done 

31 Cadets and staff enjoyed the Squadron Dining In night at Tavistock Golf Club on Friday 8th November 2019 

Cdts Peters ,Weeks and Pedler and the CO represented the Squadron at the Tavistock College Remembrance Service on Friday 8 November 2019 .They were an excellent advertisment for our Squadron 

The CO and 4 cadets enjoyed  Autumn Camp at RAF Cosford in half term week.The low ropes course ,cinema and a day out at the Challenge Academy were just some of the highlights. Sgt Cook won the best flight competition with her team of cadets .
